Spreading the Word: Mick's New Blogsite!

Hey everyone, I'm just helping to spread the word that Mick's blog has a new home, yay! We bid a fond farewell to Husbandly Touch, and a warm welcome to Mick and Lynda's Place!

So make sure you go over and leave a happy welcoming comment! And like I've said before, if you're not following his blog, you'd greatly benefit from starting to. So here's your chance! Mick has a lot of wisdom, he has an amazingly candid style of writing, and who can't benefit from learning better that sometimes hard-to-decipher HOH-y perspective?

Welcome back, Mick! You've been greatly missed! :)

I'll try to write an actual update post soon, I promise. In the meantime, something I could use your help with. I have a deadline tomorrow night (like as in my poor posterior is on that line), and it's so overwhelming right now, it's taking all the maturity within me to not say it's impossible, give up, and go watch a movie, which of course was my old coping mechanism when I got this stressed. I'm continuing to try hard, really I am, but it's so tempting just to stop, say "Hakuna Matata" and accept my fate as inevitable. I'm tired, there seems no end in sight, and I can't seem to get the ability to hyperfocus that I need to figure out how to get this done. So please keep me in your prayers! Thank you!

  1. Hi Kay, thanks for letting folks know.

As for your assignment, I hope all goes well. Want a suggestion? Instead of looking for hyperfocus, relax your shoulders, take a deep breath and let it out slowly. Then just start on the first thing. Don't rush. Just start with the first thing, then go to the second... and so on.

  3. Praying for you. You can do it! Remember the scripture..."I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." As long as you are willing, and it doesn't go against His will, then he makes this promise, and God can't lie. Tell yourself "I Can!". God Bless You and Yours, and Your efforts, Belle L.

    1. Thank you, Belle! I couldn't respond at the time I first read this comment, but I badly needed to be reminded of that. :)

  4. Just do your best. Even if it is overwhelming, start it- and work on it little by little. However, forgive yourself if you stumble.

  5. Best wishes on new blog Mick and Lynda!

Kay, you are doing wonderful. If it becomes overwhelming, take a quick break, clear the fuddle from your mind, and get right back to work. Try to imagine the feelings that will come from having it all done. Won't you be proud, jay will be ecstatic, and all of us will be cheering you on and giving you a hand clapping standing ovation when it's all done. I'm continuing to pray, so I know you can do it! Your'e a former foster care child... God made us stronger than just any basic individual in order to endure the harsh realities of life. So go take that office by the cross hairs and show him what your capable.
